In 2024, Pastor Steve partnered with The Orchard Church of Waynesville, NC for a very special outreach mission trip to the Iban children of Sarawak, Malaysia. Our team was comprised of a much younger group with the exception of myself, as you can see from our team photo (right). We partnered with our 18 local churches to conduct 2 "Fun with English Camps". We were able to communicate the gospel with 250 children and saw 181 professions of faith. A special thanks to all those who partnered with us in prayer and financial support and to the FBBC family for their patience and mission-mindedness that allows me to go abroad to share the gospel. Highlights of this year's trip:
Conducted "Fun with English Camp" in Sri Aman at Maranatha Baptist Church, sharing the gospel with over 150 children from 10 area churches. We saw 92 professions of faith.
Conducted "Fun with English Camp" in Sarikei at Life Baptist Church, sharing the gospel with 100 children from 8 area churches. We saw 89 professions of faith.
A night in the long house and worship with the congregation at Kerapa Baptist Church. We saw 1 profession of faith.
Closed out with our final worship service at Kota Samarahan Baptist Church.
Experienced more local cuisines and customs of the wonderful Iban peoples of Sarawak, Malaysia.
