This year, Pastor Steve joined with this fine team from across the Sandy Run Baptist Association (L-R: Scott & Terri Huffman of Christ Cares 4 U Ministries; Chris Brackin, Goodes Grove Baptist Church; Pastor Steve Smith, Forest Lake Baptist; Pastor Steve; Dr. Lon Chenowith our Sandy Run Associational Missionary and his wife Kay; Liza Goodwin, Liberty Baptist; Pastor Mike Elgin, Cliffside Baptist) to participate in leadership training and evangelism in Uganda, Africa. The team traveled to Uganda on May 2nd and returned on May 13th. There we partnered with local Baptist leaders Pastor Edward Dima and Pastor Alex Minge to coordinate our travel and training assignments across the nation of Uganda. We were able to provide training in Kampala, the Boroli Refuge Settlement near Adjumani and at Kayunga, traveling over 1000 miles across Uganda in the our 6 days of training. God blessed magnificently!

82 youth workers & 32 children's workers received training
300 Bibles distributed to pastors and workers across the region
200 Bibles presented to new believers at Choice Baptist in Kampala, Uganda
222 Children's illustrated Bibles distributed
500 "High Calling" pastor's guidebooks distributed
Uganda's Baptist Leadership
Left - Pastor Alex Minge & his wife Beatrice, pastor of Choice Baptist Church in Kampala. Pastor Alex has been instrumental in establishing 25 church in Kampala and has a wonderful heart for God.
Right - Pastor Edward Dima, President of the Baptist Union is responsible for church growth and oversight in Uganda and South Sudan. He regularly travels between nations in support of local pastors efforts to reach the region for Christ. He was an encouragement to all of us and he serves as a fine example of Godly leadership.
